USAO New-Student Move-In & Welcome Week (Aug 20–23, 2026)
The University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) welcomes incoming students to campus for New-Student Move-In on Thursday, August 20, 2026, followed by Welcome Week / New Student Orientation from Friday, August 21 through Sunday, August 23. This program is free for incoming first-year students and includes move-in assistance, mandatory housing meetings, an opening ceremony, academic open houses, campus games and social events (including Green & Gold Games and Drover Disco), a medallion hunt, class photo, and a closing ceremony.
Move-In — Thursday, August 20, 2026
• 08:00 AM — Official move-in begins
• 02:00 PM — Mandatory housing/RA community meetings (Te Ata Memorial Auditorium); optional parents meeting & reception (Student Center Ballroom)
• 05:00 PM — Dinner; 06:00 PM — Housing hangout
Welcome Week / Orientation — August 21–23, 2026
Highlights across the three-day orientation include the Opening Ceremony, Drover meetings, academic open houses, Green & Gold Games, Drover Disco, medallion hunt, class photo and the Closing Ceremony. Optional breakfasts and religious activities are offered each day.
Who should attend: Incoming first-year students (transfer students are welcome but not required to attend).
Location: USAO Main Campus, Chickasha, OK. Move-in and housing meetings take place at Te Ata Memorial Auditorium and the Student Center on campus.
